Another great wedding weekend! This time, it was with Donny & Gabby! About a year ago, I met them at a bridal show in Buffalo. After we talked, I knew that I wanted to work with this couple. Shortly after, we got together to shoot their engagement photos. Doing engagement photos helps a lot once the wedding day rolls around—it’s like we’re old friends and we’re comfortable working with each other.
We got things started at Donny & Gabby’s new house in Buffalo where the ladies were getting ready. Once Gabby was in her dress we made the short trip to St. Mark’s Church a few blocks away. It was a beautiful ceremony in an equally beautiful place. After the ceremony was over (and we all got the bird seed out of our hair) we went over to O’Brien’s Sleepy Hollow in East Aurora, NY.
Things were typical up until the maid of honor’s speech. Gabby’s younger sister, Andi, had us all fooled with her short speech. She asked everyone to raise their glasses and then…the beat DROPPED and Andi went into a 30-minute rap cover that she wrote! The place went wild! I’ve seen this go badly before, but Andi did a really great job!
The day was perfect and I couldn’t be happier for Donny and Gabby. Congrats!
