Luke & Debbie's Lima, NY Wedding Photos

Hey everyone, this strangely warm Christmas Eve brings another blog – Luke & Debbie’s Lima, NY wedding photos! I had the pleasure of working with an awesome couple on their wedding day! I’ve known Luke a very long time and Debbie’s father was an instructor at the college I went to. Being able to capture special moments for people I’ve had relationship with for a long time is always great, and this couple was no exception!

Y0u might remember Luke & Debbie from their engagement photos that I posted over the summer. When you have two people in love like these two, great photos are easy! We started things off at Debbie’s parent’s house. It was full of siblings and nieces and nephews, which is perfect for this family. The backyard was the perfect place for a few family photos so that’s exactly what we did. After that, it was time for the ceremony! Luke and Debbie tied the knot at Lima Baptist, a church I shot a wedding in a few years ago, so I knew the layout well. The ceremony was beautiful and I even spotted a tear or two, and not from the bride. :) Then it was off for more photos. We went to Mark Tubbs Park, a place I played many football games at while in college. I never thought of it as a great place to take wedding photos, but it was. We found a narrow path and the sun was shining through at the perfect angle. The photos were amazing!

The reception was what you might expect, except for one small thing…the bride’s brother, Josh, getting engaged! Everything was set up beforehand, including the bride’s approval. When Debbie went to toss her bouquet, she instead turned around and gave it to Jessica. Josh then came through the crowd and asked her to marry him. She said, “Yes!” It was a pretty special moment!
