Daniel & Justine's Cobbs Hill Maternity Photos

Hey everyone! It’s been awhile since my last post, but it’s also been a busy time. My wife and I just welcomed our second child, Giana, into the world! We’re adjusting and everyone is doing well! I thought it would be fitting to come back with a maternity post.

I’ve known Daniel and Justine for a long time. In fact, it was after their wedding that I decided to make a run at being a wedding photographer. Theirs was the second wedding I shot (see the first here) and I still can’t believe how well it went. A few weeks before their wedding, I had seen a few photos taken by a friend, and asked what equipment she used. My friend told me about a lens and I decided to rent it. Daniel and Justine’s wedding was that weekend and I asked them if I could take a few photos. They not only said “yes,” but also invited me to get some pictures of Daniel and his groomsmen beforehand. Their photographer also wasn’t covering the whole reception, so they said I could take as many pictures there as I wanted. I learned that day that I was made to be a wedding photographer. I was calm, in control, and enjoyed every minute of it. The next day, as I looked through the photos, I realized that I could do this. Within a few weeks I had a website and, 5 years later, here we are!

Enough about me, check out this amazing couple! I was so happy to shoot this maternity session and the photos came out incredible! We started in baby Mya’s room with Mom and Dad to be. They did such a great job preparing it, that I had to get a few in there. We then headed to Cobbs Hill Park and the lookout at the reservoir. This is one of my favorite spots in Rochester. It has everything! Daniel has played basketball since the time he could walk, so we headed down to the courts for a few shots. Thankfully, it wasn’t too cold that day!
