Jeff & Rachael's Canal Side & Pearl Street Wedding Photos
I first met Rachael when she was a bridesmaid when I was shooting her friend Kristin’s wedding (back in my pre-photo-blogging days). About a year and a half later Rachael contacted me about her own wedding. I got together with Rachael and her fiancé Jeff in Niagara Falls for their engagement shoot and we really hit it off! Doing an engagement session always makes the wedding day go smoother because we’ve already worked together and feel comfortable around each other. (See a few other reasons engagement photos are a great idea.)
Now onto the wedding day! I arrived at Rachael’s parents house where the girls were getting ready. My friend Samantha was already working on makeup and I got to meet Olive (Jeff and Rachael’s dog), who you’ll get to see a little later. The rest of morning went smoothly before heading over to the Butler Mansion on Delaware to meet up with the guys.
The Butler Mansion is a beautiful place for a wedding. It’s an old building that has been recently renovated to feel new while still keeping the original, vintage feel. The ceremony was outside and the weather cooperated with us nicely. Rachael made her grand entrance and Olive followed shortly after. After the ceremony, we stopped by Canal Side and City Hall for a few photos and then made our way to Pearl Street Grill & Brewery for the reception.
All in all it was a great day. Thanks for having me Jeff, Rachael and Olive!
